PROPER NOUNS AND COMMON NOUNS
Proper Nouns- a special name or word that is used for a person or place, as in Logan, Paige, and Lilly or a place as in Gladstone, Rapid River, and Ecanaba.
Examples: Teacher = common noun; Ms. Egner = proper noun. Restaurant = common noun; Main Street Pizza = proper noun. School = common noun; Gladstone = proper noun. Common Nouns- a non-specific thing that names a person, place, or thing, like ocean, desk, and cat.
